LPH-27A
4-30 Mhz RLPA

The LPH-27A provides excellent reliability in medium range sky wave circuits. The broadband, log periodic antenna is steerable in azimuth and the array is tilted with respect to ground to provide slowly varying elevation patterns with frequency.

The array is mounted on top of a 50 foot self supported tower. The front ( higher frequency end ) of the antenna is 30 feet above ground due to a 22 degree boom angle. The HF antenna array consists of the main support structure ( boom ), twenty tapered aluminum tubular elements, a twin feedline, and a transformer. The boom is all aluminum with tubular braces and assembled with high strength galvanized steel hardware. The rotator is mounted near the top of the tower with work platforms provided for easy maintenance. A rotary joint allows continuous rotation. The input impedance of the antenna is 80 ohms, a transformer is used to match this impedance to 50 ohms.

Equipment supplied includes the array, mast, rotator, self supporting tower, ground hardware, remote control and erection kit (less winch). Available optional equipment includes obstruction lights, climbing devices, electric erection winch, coaxial cable, connectors and computer controller interface.
