MA-11 |
| Applications:
The MA-11 masts are a series of sectional masts varying in height from 8 meters up to 18 meters which can be used for fixed or transportable applications. Typical applications for these masts are for supporting small omnidirectional antennas and log periodic antennas as well as instrument packages. Their simplicity allows for ease of installation when antennas are elevated 8 to 18 meters above ground. A wind vs. antenna projected area graph is provided for 50 and 200 pound head loads which aids in proper mast selection for specific applications. Features: The sectional masts are constructed of aluminum tubular sections with one end swaged to accept the next section. Sections are available in one meter and two meter lengths allowing for varying heights in one meter increments. The masts are guyed four (4) ways to facilitate erection. The pivot base allows for east tilt-up during erection. The mast can carry vertical loads of up to 200 pounds in excess of 100 mph. This loading condition is based on using factors of safety of 1.65:1. Stressing the mast sections to minimum yield stress, the loading can be increased by 40%. |
