Portable V-Ring Localizer Test Kit

Applications:
The V-ring localizer test kit is designed for use in installation and alignment of the ILS V-ring localizer antenna array.
Features:
The test kit is packaged in special carrying cases designed with foam cut-outs for each component.
Characteristics:
The test kit components are supplied to aid in performance of the following functions:

• To measure the phase relationship between the antenna currents of the elements of the array.
• To sample the RF energy from each element for the purpose of determining the relative amplitude of the antenna currents.
• To reduce the mutual coupling effects between antenna elements to improve the antenna current distribution across the array.

Equipment Supplied:
The kit consists of a sampling loop, attenuators, phasers, coaxial cable, and various other coaxial transmission line devices. Also included are two portable carrying cases for storage and transport of these items.
