Applications: The TLP-225 tactical log periodic is designed for use in the 225-400 Mhz frequency band and is capable of handling 400 watts PEP. The antenna is suitable for point-to-point communications or for surveillance applications. The lightweight and small packaged dimensions make this antenna suitable for tactical applications while the wide bandwidth permits use with UHF frequency hopping radios. The boom and elements are constructed from corrosion resistant aluminum with stainless steel fittings and fiberglass insulators. The removable elements are captivated to a single piece boom by a cord to prevent loss and to facilitate rapid assembly and dismantling. The antenna is supplied in a durable carrying bag. The antenna has a 1.5 inch diameter mounting fastener and interfaces directly with telescoping masts PM-477 or MM-798. The input connector is a type N. |
