R-303 |
|
Applications: The R-303 is a militarized, directional, transportable VHF antenna capable of use with two way radio communications in ground military operations. It's primary function is to extend the range of coverage of mobile radios beyond that available from low elevation whips or mast mounted omnidirectional antennas. Applications include situations where the system must be quickly unpacked and erected. Features: The antenna uses a 33 foot telescoping mast to support the vertically polarized, half rhombic antenna. The mast is precision engineered to meet quick erect and ease of handling requirements. It is air dampened to ensure smooth, safe retraction of the telescopic tubes. Characters: The antenna operates over the frequency range of 30-88 Mhz, with an input impedance of 50 ohms and a VSWR of 2.0:1 or less. The average gain is 8 dBi and the power handling capability is 350 watts. It is easily erected by two men in 30 minutes and stows in a mast case and two canvas bags. The antenna is 156 feet long, 33 feet high and weighs 88 pounds. Optional Equipment: Transit case. |
