VH-830/T
8-30 MHz Tactical

Applications:
The VH-830/T is a directional, transportable HF antenna designed for medium to long range skywave circuits. The antenna is intended for use in the 8 to 30 Mhz frequency band, however operation is extended down to 2 Mhz with reduced performance. The VH-830/T is utilized in tactical situations where quick erection and medium to long range circuits are required. The antenna is horizontally polarized for efficient performance over all types of soil and will handle up to 10 kW of power.
Features:
The VH-830/T use a 50 foot telescoping mast for ease of erection. The mast is precision engineered and uses air dampened retraction to ensure smooth, safe operation of the telescoping tubes. The element wires are 500 feet long and are made of vinyl coated galvanized aircraft cable.
Characteristics:
The antenna is fed with a balun that is located at the top of the mast. The /1 antenna is for power levels up to 1 kW average and 2 kW PEP, and is supplied with type N connectors and a 50 foot length of RG-214 coaxial cable. The /2 antenna is for power levels up to 10 kW, and is supplied with type SC connectors and a 50 foot length of RG-393 coaxial cable. High power terminations are provided with the /2 antennas. The input impedance is 50 ohms and the max VSWR is 2.0:1.
Equipment Supplied:
The antenna comes equipped with balun, elements, terminations, guys, mast base, anchors, hammer, and telescopic mast.
Optional Equipment:
Transit case, element end support poles, sectional steel mast.
